Safari Highlights

Itinerary

Your adventure begins early in the morning as our friendly driver-guide picks you up from your hotel or the airport. You’ll embark on a scenic drive to the world-renowned Masai Mara National Reserve, with a brief stopover at the breathtaking Great Rift Valley viewpoint – the perfect spot for photos and panoramic views.

The journey continues through the vibrant town of Narok, offering glimpses of stunning landscapes and local culture. You’ll arrive at your lodge or camp just in time for lunch and check-in.

In the afternoon, get ready for your first game drive in the Masai Mara! With luck on your side, you may encounter majestic lions, agile cheetahs, and other incredible wildlife roaming the plains. A perfect introduction to the magic of Kenya’s wilderness.

For those seeking a truly unforgettable experience, an optional hot air balloon safari is available in the early morning (booked and paid separately). Float silently above the plains as the sun rises, offering a breathtaking view of the wildlife below.

Between game drives, you may also opt for a cultural visit to a local Maasai village (fees paid directly), where you’ll get a glimpse into traditional Maasai life.

Keep your eyes peeled—what seems like a distant tree could be a tower of giraffes, a clump of bushes might hide a lion pride, and a shifting rock could be a rhino on the move. With some luck, you may spot a cheetah family on the hunt or a herd of elephants making their way across the plains.

Even the small moments are unforgettable: watch a family of warthogs comically sprint away, only to stop mid-run as if they forgot why they were rushing. Every moment in the Mara brings the unexpected.

After breakfast, you’ll depart the Masai Mara and head towards the scenic Lake Nakuru National Park, one of Kenya’s premier birdwatching and wildlife destinations. Enjoy a leisurely drive with picturesque views of the Great Rift Valley along the way.

You’ll arrive at your lodge in time for lunch and a bit of relaxation. Unwind by the poolside or enjoy the lodge’s other facilities as you gear up for the afternoon adventure.

At around 4:00 PM, your afternoon game drive begins. Lake Nakuru is often called a birdwatcher’s paradise, famous for its flocks of lesser and greater flamingoes and home to over 400 bird species. The park also shelters a healthy population of both black and white rhinos, as well as Rothschild’s giraffes, waterbucks, lions, cheetahs, and the elusive leopard.

As the sun sets over the lake, you’ll return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay, ready for more adventures ahead.

After breakfast, you’ll set out for the peaceful and scenic Lake Naivasha, one of the stunning lakes along the Great Rift Valley. The drive takes approximately 2 hours, offering a more relaxed day of travel and exploration.

You’ll arrive at your lodge in time for lunch, where you can unwind and enjoy the tranquil surroundings.

In the afternoon, your guide will take you on a one-hour boat excursion across the lake. Glide over calm waters as you discover Lake Naivasha’s rich flora and fauna. With a bit of luck, you might spot the majestic African Fish Eagle, pods of hippos, graceful giraffes, waterbucks, and a variety of birds such as pelicans and cormorants.

After your boat safari, you’ll return to your lodge for a relaxing dinner and overnight stay, surrounded by nature’s calm and beauty.

Today marks the final day of your unforgettable safari – at least for now. After a hearty breakfast, you’ll begin your drive back to Nairobi, enjoying the last glimpses of Kenya’s beautiful landscapes along the way.

Upon arrival in the city, you’ll stop for lunch at a local restaurant (optional) before being dropped off at your hotel or the airport, depending on your onward travel plans.

We hope this journey has left you with amazing memories and breathtaking stories to tell. At Reba Travels, we look forward to welcoming you back for another magical African adventure!
